Enjoy Our Historical Tours

Welcome to New Orleans!

We are Black owned and operated. We offer the knowledge of New Orleans history and culture from the perspective of native Black New Orleanians. Join us as we tour the Treme neighborhood, the historical homes of legendary Jazz musicians of New Orleans, and Jack Conrad Thibodaux Massacre tour to Thibodaux, La.

Wiletta Ferdinand is a native resident of New Orleans, La. She has lived and worked in historic parts of the city, from the Lower Ninth Ward to the Ponchartrain Park Subdivision. Ms. Ferdinand is the author of several books about the history of Black culture in Louisiana. In Ms. Ferdinand’s childhood she made several trips to Thibodaux, La. She has extensive knowledge of Thibodaux and nearby towns such as Donaldsonville, and Houma.

In addition to our tours, we offer workshops in Mardi Gras masking and Mardi Gras Indian beading. The Jack Conrad tours includes an optional workshop in genealogy research for African Americans in the Deep South.

The historical tours are offered throughout the year. We are licensed by the New Orleans Tourism Board. All tours adhere to safety and health guidelines.
